Need to address this list (and more possible): RNR comment: I suggest the following order (but a bullet point list isn't needed in addition to the blurbs shown below):

  • Union for Progressive Judaism
  • Board of Progressive Jewish Education
  • Netzer
  • Apples & Honey
  • JSA?  or are they NSTE and not a 'partner'?  What about the different organisations they work with (ASC, Creekcare, Roseville Uniting, etc.)?  And where in the order should those be listed, if at all?  (And would any cause controversy?)  These are questions for Julia.
  • Jewish Arts
  • Courage to Care
  • Stand Up
  • Emanuel Synagogue
  • Masada College?  Though I'm not sure we partner with them much, except for the award we give each year.  Julia could weigh in on what to say.
  • NSW Jewish Board of Deputies  Do we need to also say ECAJ?
  • Jewish Care?
  • Community Security Group  Can mention JCA in the blurb
  • Willoughby Council  Does this include grants?
  • Our Lady of Dolours Catholic Parish - We will have to check if they are comfortable being on our website.  Puts them at risk securitywise, potentially.
  • Mazon

Partnerships for a Stronger Community - Is this introductory text meant to appear on final? If so, I will want to rephrase it.

Our goal is to deepen existing partnerships and grow new partnerships to:

expand on best practices in synagogue management

offer events and programs to our community and the broader community

create new opportunities for publicity and awareness of our community and its activities

expand outreach opportunities, including interfaith

Reorder the below to match the order shown in the preceding section.  In some (but not all) cases, I'd include a link to their websites.

Emanuel Synagogue  RNR comment: I'd bold each of these headings. Also, should the below be justified on both sides rather than just on the left margin?

We partner with Emanuel Synagogue by sharing best practices, meeting the needs of our conversion candidates, providing a Shaliach/Shlicha for Netzer, and on programs such as Kol Nefesh services.

Board of Progressive Jewish Education

NSTE is pleased to work closely with the Board of Progressive Jewish Education (BPJE), with representatives of our community serving on the Board of Directors of BPJE.  We are grateful to BPJE for the grant assistance it provides to NSTE in support of our Meah Hebrew & Religion School for Years K-7.

Willoughby Council   RNR Comment: I suggest Julia rewrite/update this blurb.

Willoughby Council continues to be a strong supporter of NSTE, attending many of our events. NSTE has participated in the Council's community building events.  We were especially proud to participate in the Council's community stories event where our late Garry Braude (z’l) and Nola Braude were honoured when their book was released. We have also shared, with members of Council, some details about how we deliver our Community Wellbeing programs.

Jewish Arts  RNR Comment: I suggest Judy rewrite/update this blurb.

Jewish Arts, initially created as a result of a partnership with NSTE, has grown from strength to strength and we continue to seek opportunities to partner events with this organisation. In addition to the weekly Israeli dance classes that are presented at NSTE, we hosted a very successful Tikkun Olam Multicultural Exhibition (TOME) in VJs and participated as a choir in the recent Third Australian Jewish Choral Festival.

NSW Jewish Board of Deputies  RNR Comment: I suggest Julia rewrite/update this blurb.

In July 2015, we hosted a Shabbat Dinner at NSTE, which was organised by the NSW Jewish Board of Deputies.  The purpose of the dinner was to engage with our local communities in Chatswood and environs, affording them the opportunity to experience a Shabbat Service and experience Jewish culture and tradition in a safe and friendly environment. As a result, we built strong bonds with the Armenian Church community, as well as local Korean and Chinese communities. Since the event, we have continued to strengthen the relationships with members of these communities, as well as with the Willoughby Council.

Union for Progressive Judaism

NSTE is a member of the Union for Progressive Judaism (UPJ), the roof body for our movement's congregations.  The Australian Reform Zionist Association (ARZA), the United Israel Appeal (UIA)'s Progressive Appeal, and the Assembly of Rabbis and Cantors (ARC) of Australia, New Zealand and Asia work in tandem with the UPJ to support many aspects of Progressive Jewish life in Australia and advance our interests in Israel.

the Jewish Communal Appeal (JCA) and the United Israel Appeal (UIA). These organisations are important pillars of our local and worldwide Jewish life and help us express our values of Tikkun Olam and Ahavat Yisrael.

Presidents of North Shore Jewish Communities

After the Shabbat Project in 2015, a committee of Presidents of the North Shore Jewish communities was formed. It has been valuable for NSTE to learn about each of our sister communities, the challenges they are facing, and the solutions they have explored to address these. We have sought to focus on what we have in common, and look for opportunities to work together and support each other.

Netzer - Our Movement's Youth Group

Netzer and NSTE enjoy a vibrant partnership in serving and supporting Progressive Jewish youth, from ages eight to eighteen.  Our rabbis run activities at Summer and Winter Camp, Netzer runs activities in our Hebrew School, and many of our members spend their gap year on Netzer's "Shnat" program in Israel, returning afterward to leadership roles in Netzer, our congregation, and the wider Jewish community.

Mazon

NSTE supports MAZON - a Jewish response to hunger - through our annual High Holy Days food drive.

Apples & Honey Preschool

NSTE is home to the Apples & Honey Preschool, with long hours for ages 3-6, on our campus.  Apples & Honey Preschool has provided early childhood education and care for over 40 years.

Courage to Care

Our Year 7 class is visited each year by Courage to Care, helping our B'mitzvah aged students learn about the experience of Holocaust survivors and explore how they can be upstanders, not bystanders, in the face of racism and discrimination.  A number of our members serve as leaders and volunteers for Courage to Care.

Mum for Mum

NSTE provides a regular meeting place for Mum for Mum volunteers, some of whom are our members.  Mum for Mum provides in-home emotional support for mums, by mums.

Stand Up

Our B'mitzvah students spend seven weeks learning with facilitators from the Stand Up Jewish social justice organisation, meeting and talking with special guests from refugee communities and Aboriginal communities, and exploring world issues of educational and economic injustice.  An eye opening program, Stand Up empowers students to become changemakers in society and in their communities.

Our Lady of Dolours

We are blessed to be interfaith dialogue partners with members and clergy Our Lady of Dolours through NSTE's unique 'This I Believe - Building Bridges' program.

Community Security Group

Blurb could be written by Julia and include mention of JCA (as JCA provides  funding to CSG, I believe.)
